Online Commentary on the “king of Noble Deeds”

We are delighted to welcome Nechung Rinpoche back to Wood Valley Temple, his stay will span October and November.

Nechung Rinpoche will give online commentaries on the “King of Noble Deeds” on Sundays, October 13th to November 24th, from 1pm to 3pm Hawaii time. The teaching will be broadcast over Zoom; a link for which will be emailed before the event. $100 for all 7 sessions. There will be no in person teachings during these events.

The King of Noble Prayers Aspiring to the Deeds of the Excellent or PHAG-PA ZANG-PO CHO-PE MON-LAM KYI GYAL-PO is one of the most widely recited prayers amongst all lineages of the Tibetan Buddhist Tradition.

The verses represent aspirations for altruistic thought and action, including aspirations:
1 for pure attitude
2 for not forgetting bodhicitta
3 for freedom from defilements
4 for leading beings to happiness
5 the armor of dedication
6 to accompany bodhisattvas
7 to have virtuous teachers
8 to see and serve buddhas in person
9 to preserve the dharma
10 to acquire inexhaustible treasures
11 for various means to enter the deeds of the excellent
12 for the power of enlightenment through the 9 powers
13 for antidotes that pacify obscurations
14 for enlightened activities
15 for training following the buddhas
