Geshe Ngawang Choejor Reception Lunch

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Geshe Ngawang Choejor to Nechung Dorje Drayang Ling in late March. Geshe Ngawang will be in residence at the temple through 2026. He was introduced to us by Nechung Lopon Dorjee and is highly regarded by the senior monks of Nechung Monastery in India.

Geshe-la entered Drubthob Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal at the age of eight, and studied there for ten years, then continued on to Drepung Losaling in South India where he persevered to achieve the highly prestigious Geshe Lharampa degree. Additionally, he studied tantra at Gyumed Tantric Monastery, and mastered the various skills of musical instruments used in monastic chanting, butter sculptures, and served as Umze (chanting master). 

Please join us in welcoming Geshe Ngawang Choejor with a potluck lunch and community gathering after a White Tara & Medicine Buddha Practice. Please bring food to share.
