Chamtrul Rinpoche Lobsang Gyatso is the recognized reincarnation of the second Chamtrul Rinpoche, Pema Nangsel Dorje, who was one of the heads of the Mardo Tashi Choeling Monastery in Tibet. Rinpoche was conferred the title of “khenpo” Abbot by his root guru H.E. Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche at Larung Gar Buddhist Institute in Eastern Tibet after many years of rigorous studies. Known for his nonsectarian approach, he has received the cycles of teachings, empowerments and transmissions from more than twenty-five accomplished masters and scholars from all four major traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Through his knowledge and practical advice, Rinpoche compassionately guides his students towards ultimate peace and happiness.
The teachings will be on Chenrezig (Avalokitesvara), the aspect of compassion and loving kindness, and one of the main practices in Tibetan Buddhism. The mantra is OM MANI PADME HUNG which symbolizes accomplishing the six perfections and overcoming the negativities of the six realms in cyclic existence.
Donations are requested to cover the expenses of the program, as well as continued maintenance and operation of the temple. We appreciate your generosity and support.
